Job summary

SAMY in Madrid is seeking an Accounts Payable Analyst to ensure accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices, maintain compliant records, and resolve discrepancies. This role supports a fast-paced AP workflow within a globally connected team.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in AP or similar finance roles, solid Excel skills, and fluency in Spanish and English. A hybrid working model and ongoing growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in Accounts Payable or similar role.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and AP processes.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with an ERP or accounting system is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines with a high volume of invoices.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Fluency in Spanish; working knowledge of English is required.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation and processing of supplier payments.
• Perform account and supplier statement reconciliations.

• Respond to supplier and internal stakeholder queries professionally and promptly.

Role Mission

The Accounts Payable Analyst, based in Madrid, Spain, will support the accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices and payments while ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting procedures. The role will contribute to maintaining accurate financial records, resolving invoice discrepancies, and supporting an efficient accounts payable process.

Key responsibilities

• Process and record supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner.

• 1-2 years of experience in Accounts Payable, accounting, finance administration, or a similar role; junior profiles with relevant internships may also be considered.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and accounts payable processes.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with an ERP or accounting system is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines and handle a high volume of invoices.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Fluency in Spanish; working knowledge of English are both a must.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a professional environment.
