CONCILIAT is seeking an Accounting Manager to join the EMEA Finance team of a multinational company. You will report to the Head of Finance and lead the accounting operations for Spain, ensuring accurate, complete and timely financial records across entities.

The role covers month-end close, GL reconciliations, AP/AR, treasury support, internal controls and audits, plus team leadership. You will collaborate with Tax, Reporting and Project Finance to align accounting with business objectives,

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in accounting and financial reporting in international environments.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS; US GAAP knowledge is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee day-to-day accounting across EMEA entities, ensuring accurate and timely records.
• Lead month-end, quarter-end and year-end closes in line with group policies.
• Manage general ledger, reconciliations, intercompany eliminations, and journal entries.
• Supervise Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes for timely invoicing and collections.
• Support Treasury activities, cash management and banking reconciliations.
• Ensure internal controls and SOX compliance; coordinate audits.
• Lead and develop the accounting team; drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Treasury, Tax, Reporting and Project Finance to align activities.

We are looking for an Accounting Manager to join the EMEA Finance team of an established international company.

Reporting to the Head of Finance (Finance, Treasury, Reporting, Consolidation and Auditing) you will play a key role in managing the Accounting Legal entities Emea (Spain)

• Accounting Operations: Oversee day-to-day accounting activities across EMEA entities, ensuring accurate, complete and timely financial records.
• Month-End and Year-End Closing: Lead monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes, ensuring compliance with group reporting deadlines and accounting policies.
• General Ledger & Reconciliations: Ensure the accuracy of general ledger accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany transactions and journal entries.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely invoice processing, collections and supplier payments.
• Treasury & Cash Management: Support to the Treasury Manager. Monitor cash movements, bank reconciliations, payment processes and financial debt, coordinating closely with the Treasury team.
• Internal Controls & Audit: Ensure compliance with internal control frameworks, including SOX requirements, and coordinate internal and external audits.
• Team Management: Lead, develop and support the accounting team, promoting operational excellence, accountability and continuous professional development.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Treasury, Tax, Reporting, Auditing, Consolidation and other Legal and Project Finance teams to ensure alignment between accounting activities and business objectives.
• Systems & Process Management: Ensure the effective use of ERP SAP and financial reporting systems, supporting system enhancements and improvements in data quality.
• Stakeholder Management: Act as a key point of contact for auditors, banks, external advisors and internal stakeholders across the EMEA region.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive consistency, efficiency and best practices across regional accounting operations, ensuring reliable financial information to support decision-making.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Significant experience, at least 10 years in accounting and financial reporting, preferably in an international or multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and local accounting regulations; US GAAP knowledge is an advantage.
• Experience with ERP systems, ideally SAP, and financial reporting tools.
• Strong leadership, analytical and organisational skills.
• Fluent English; additional European languages are an advantage.
