Puig Deutschland GmbH in Barcelona is seeking a general accountant to support the group finance function. You will manage the general ledger, collaborate with Local Controllers, and ensure compliance with accounting standards across the entities under your responsibility.

The role requires 3–5 years of experience, a degree in accounting, and fluency in Spanish and English, with Greek also required. SAP and MS Office mastery are essential for accurate reporting and analysis.

Formación

• Minimum 3–5 years' experience in a similar accounting position.
• Bachelor’s or Master degree in Accounting.
• Fluent in Spanish and English; Greek fluency is required.
• SAP and MS Office proficiency; knowledge of European accounting rules preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Execute monthly, quarterly and year-end close activities.
• Ensure balance sheet accuracy and compliance with group and statutory standards.
• Perform monthly liquidity planning, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Handle tax obligations and tax reporting in a timely manner.
• Lead audits with internal and external auditors and support statutory reporting.
• Assist budgeting and forecasting for subsidiaries and maintain relevant schedules.

The oportunity

Reporting to the Group Accounting manager and as a part of Global Finance Services located in Barcelona, s/he will be responsible for supporting a company or group of companies for all financial questions.

We are seeking a general accountant with Greek to be responsible for supporting and supervising general ledger as well as main financial information. S/he will be the single point of contact for Local Controllers, assisting them to ensure financial criteria are properly followed in the companies under his/her responsibility.

Monthly closing process & Reporting

• Execute all accounting activities related to month, quarter and year end close
• Ensure all tasks are completed in accordance with the closing procedures and group accounting rules
• Manage quarterly Inter-Company reconciliation
• Prepare, verify and submit group reporting

Balance Sheet control

• Ensure Balance Sheet statement contain reliable and accurate information according with Group and Statutory standards.

Liquidity planning

• Monthly cash forecasting and deviations analysis

Taxes

• Responsible for timely accomplishment of all company tax obligations and tax reporting
• Tax Accounting

Responsible for Audit process and Statutory Reporting

• Lead audit process with internal and external auditors
• Maintain a second set of accounting books to ensure Statutory Reporting according with accounting local standards

Budgeting & Forecasting process

• Balance Sheet and Cash budgeting and forecasting

Support local controller on subsidiary planning, budgeting & forecasting process

• Languages: Spanish, English fluently spoken. Greek fluently spoken.
