Universidade de Vigo is seeking a First Stage Researcher (R1) in Chemical Engineering to synthesize various hydrogels and contribute to structural and mechanical characterization of the materials. The role includes performing separation processes by liquid-liquid equilibrium methods, conducting experiments from lab scale to reactor scale, and assisting in drafting and maintaining scientific documentation.

The position is 75% time with a gross monthly salary of €1,154, and the application

Offer Description

To carry out the synthesis of various types of hydrogels and will contribute to the structural and mechanical characterization of the resulting materials.

In addition, they will conduct separation processes based on liquid?liquid equilibrium techniques for the removal of persistent compounds from aqueous matrices.

The candidate will perform experimental work at both laboratory flask and reactor scales and will assist in the preparation, drafting, and maintenance of scientific and technical documentation.

Item 01: Academic background (a master's degree in chemical engineering, chemistry or industrial engineering will be valued most highly, followed by a degree in chemistry or chemical engineering, and finally, other qualifications in the scientific-technological field) (punctuation: 30)

Item 02: Professional experience in previous research tasks at a university or private company (punctuation: 10)

Item 03: Previous experience in chemical synthesis, separation processes, and engineering process optimization (punctuation: 40)

Item 04: Other specific accreditable training such as laboratory technician qualifications related to chemistry and/or engineering (punctuation: 10)

Item 05: Personal interview. The interview will be conducted only with those candidates who, in the sum of the merits, reach a minimum of 50 points (punctuation: 10)
