Job summary

The BRIDGE – Translational Excellence Programme at the University of Copenhagen seeks 14 highly motivated postdoc fellows to commence on 1 September 2027. Fellows are appointed to the labs of SUND or SCIENCE, with mentors from hospital and life science industry, in a two-year, full-time position.

Applicants must hold an MD and PhD or MSc and PhD in a relevant field; specialist training is not a hindrance and medical training is appreciated.

Qualifications

• MD and PhD or MSc and PhD in a relevant discipline such as biology or medical engineering.
• Specialist training is not a hindrance and medical training is appreciated.
• PhD should be obtained no more than eight years before the deadline.

Responsibilities

• Fellows spend 80% of their time on individual translational research projects mentored by a Mentor Team.
• Projects should cover early translational stages and bridge basic research with clinical research.
• Fellows will be enrolled in an Academic Curriculum and participate in a two-day boot camp and mentor meetings.
