Job summary

BRIDGE – Translational Excellence Programme at the University of Copenhagen is recruiting 14 postdoc fellows to start on 1 September 2027. The programme is funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation and aims to train researchers in translational medicine across basic research, clinical settings and the life science industry.

Fellows will work in a two-year trajectory with an Academic Curriculum and a two-day Boot Camp.

Qualifications

• PhD degree obtained no more than eight years before the application deadline.
• Current PhD student may apply if thesis is submitted and defended prior to project commencement with supervisor declaration.
• Applicants must apply with a Mentor Team of at least two mentors (basic + clinical).
• Mentor Team may include mentors from other universities or DTU as relevant.

Responsibilities

• Lead translational research projects bridging basic biomedical science and clinical or life science industry environments.
• Participate in a 55-day Academic Curriculum integral to BRIDGE programme.
• Collaborate with a Mentor Team spanning SUND/SCIENCE and a clinical partner within the region.
