Job summary

BRIC, the Biotech Research and Innovation Centre at the University of Copenhagen, invites applications for an Associate Professor or Professor to lead an independent translational diabetes research group. The role combines university and hospital appointments with a start date around 1 April 2027.

The successful candidate will establish a cutting-edge program, publish high-impact work, attract funding, mentor researchers, and contribute to teaching across BRIC and Bartholin Institute.

Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant biomedical field with postdoctoral training.
• Strong publication record reflecting career stage and leadership potential.
• Proven ability to attract research funding and lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Establish an independent translational diabetes research program.
• Publish high-quality research and communicate findings widely.
• Engage in outreach and knowledge-sharing with society.
• Develop research group through funding and talent development.
• Contribute to research-based teaching and examination.
• Be involved in academic assessments.
• Collaborate nationally and internationally and contribute to BRIC's research culture.
