Job summary

Digital Realty is seeking a Technician II to execute Service Requests, including Remote Hands for clients, and assist in customer implementations. You will support uninterrupted data center operation while ensuring cleanliness, safety, and adherence to procedures.

The role covers drafting RAMS, MOPs, and SOPs, assisting in technical projects, and providing guidance to junior technicians as part of a collaborative team focused on uptime and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Telecommunications, IT or electrotechnical, Network Infrastructure environment.
• Proven experience in optical fibre installations and wiring networks.
• Strong problem analysis and RCA (Root Cause Analysis) capability.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and customer handling abilities.
• Proficient in service-oriented software, tasks handling and administration.

Responsibilities

• Execute Service Requests, including Remote Hands and cross-/disconnects to support customer infrastructure.
• Assist in customer implementations and ensure data center cleanliness, safety, and efficiency.
• Draft and execute Operational Procedures, RAMS, MOPs and SOPs as required.
• Contribute to emergency and escalation procedures for First Line Facility support.
• Document progress, issues and outcomes; participate in continuous improvement.

Your role

The Technician II is responsible for executing Service Requests, encompassing remote hands services for customers, cross-/disconnects, and assisting in customer implementations. The primary focus is to support uninterrupted customer infrastructure operation while addressing internal requests to maintain the cleanliness,

tidiness, and safety of the data center environment.

• Uphold company safety policies, operational efficiency, and core values.
• Provide technical customer service support and perform operational technical interventions for clients, including handling Remote Hands requests.
• Assist in the implementation of technical projects and support activities, including setup, deinstallation, and documentation of equipment.
• Responsible for drafting and ensuring the execution of assigned Operational procedures & procedures, including Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS), Maintenance Operating Procedures (MOPs), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Contributes to the development of Emergency Operating Procedures and escalation procedures to ensure effective First Line Facility support
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations, including executing customer request reporting and administration.
• Document progress, issues, outcomes, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide supervision, training, mentoring, and guidance to technicians, contributing to team development efforts.
• Demonstrate proficiency in a wide range of essential skills, including troubleshooting.

What You’ll Need
