Job summary

IFS is seeking a Technical Presales Architect to drive enterprise software platform strategies for enterprise customers. You will define architectures, security, deployment patterns and AI-enabled solutions that align with business goals.

You will act as a trusted technical advisor across the customer journey, bridging business value with technical execution while working with cross-functional teams to win opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Presales, Solution Architecture, Enterprise Architecture or similar roles.
• Proven experience designing, positioning and presenting complex enterprise software solutions.
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, cloud, APIs, security concepts and modern architectures.
• Experience discussing security topics including IAM, data protection, governance and compliance.
• Knowledge of SaaS, private/hybrid cloud and multi-region architectures.
• Strong AI knowledge including LLMs, AI orchestration, automation and enterprise use cases.
• Ability to translate technical concepts into business value for varied audiences.
• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent English communication (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery sessions and architecture workshops with customers and partners.
• Design solution architectures aligning business requirements with IFS Cloud capabilities and best practices.
• Advise customers on platform architecture, integration, security frameworks, identity management and deployment models.
• Guide customers through deployment options including SaaS, private cloud, hybrid cloud, and regulated environments.
• Demonstrate AI, automation and emerging tech to improve productivity and outcomes.
• Apply AI-assisted development tools to accelerate prototyping and value realization.
• Engage with security, data governance, and enterprise risk stakeholders to address concerns and speed decisions.
• Partner with executives and IT leaders to evaluate technology strategies and roadmaps.
• Lead technical responses for opportunities including architecture reviews, RFPs and PoCs.
• Stay ahead of cloud technologies, security trends, AI capabilities and enterprise platform innovation.

What You'll Drive

As a Technical Presales Architect at IFS, you will help enterprise customers define, design, and adopt modern business platforms powered by IFS Cloud, Industrial AI, and emerging technologies.

You will act as the trusted technical advisor throughout the customer journey, helping organizations understand how architecture, security, deployment models, integration strategies, and AI capabilities combine to deliver long-term business value.

You will bridge business outcomes with technical execution, guiding customers through complex decisions around cloud transformation, enterprise architecture, AI adoption, platform strategy, and digital modernization.

You Will

• Lead technical discovery sessions and architecture workshops with customers and partners.
• Design solution architectures that align business requirements with IFS Cloud capabilities and industry best practices.
• Advise customers on platform architecture, integration patterns, security frameworks, identity management, and deployment models.
• Guide customers through deployment options including SaaS, private cloud, hybrid cloud, and regulated industry environments.
• Demonstrate how AI, automation, intelligent agents, and emerging technologies can improve productivity, decision‑making, operational efficiency, and customer outcomes.
• Apply AI tools and modern development techniques, including AI-assisted development and coding, to accelerate innovation, prototyping, and customer value realization.
• Engage confidently with security, compliance, data governance, and enterprise risk stakeholders to address customer concerns and accelerate decision‑making.
• Partner with executive stakeholders, enterprise architects, IT leaders, and business leaders to evaluate technology strategies and transformation roadmaps.
• Act as the technical lead in strategic sales cycles, shaping technical win strategies and differentiating IFS against competing platforms.
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Consulting, Customer Success, Product Management, Engineering, and AI teams to develop winning solution strategies and influence future product innovation.
• Lead technical responses for strategic opportunities, including architecture reviews, security discussions, RFPs, proof‑of‑concepts, and executive presentations.
• Stay at the forefront of cloud technologies, security trends, AI capabilities, and enterprise platform innovation.

What You Bring

You are a technically curious and customer‑focused architect who can engage equally well with developers, architects, and executive stakeholders. You are comfortable navigating emerging technologies, particularly AI, while maintaining a strong foundation in enterprise architecture, security, and cloud platforms.

The ideal candidate combines the mindset of a Technical Solution Architect, the curiosity of an AI innovator, and the commercial acumen of a trusted presales advisor. They are comfortable discussing enterprise architecture and security with a CIO in the morning, demonstrating AI‑driven business scenarios in the afternoon, and building a prototype with AI‑assisted coding tools in the evening.

Qualifications

Must Have

• 5+ years of experience in Presales, Solution Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, Technical Consulting, or other customer‑facing technology roles.
• Proven experience designing, positioning, and presenting complex enterprise software solutions.
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles, cloud platforms, integration strategies, APIs, security concepts, and modern application architectures.
• Experience discussing security topics including identity and access management, data protection, governance, compliance, and secure architecture practices.
• Knowledge of deployment models including SaaS, private cloud, hybrid cloud, and multi‑region architectures.
• Strong understanding of AI technologies, Large Language Models (LLMs), agentic AI, AI orchestration frameworks, intelligent automation, and practical enterprise AI use cases.
• Demonstrated use of AI‑assisted tools and workflows to improve productivity, accelerate solution design, create prototypes, automate tasks, and develop technical assets.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into compelling business value for technical, business, and executive audiences.
• Excellent communication, presentation, workshop facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Nice to Have

• Experience with IFS Cloud, ERP, EAM, FSM, Service Management, Enterprise Asset Management, or other enterprise business applications.
• Hands‑on experience using AI‑assisted development environments such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, Cline, Replit, Lovable, Bolt, or similar platforms.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, cloud security architectures, and enterprise governance models.
• Experience building proof‑of‑concepts, integrations, technical accelerators, or customer‑facing prototypes using modern development tools and APIs.
• Understanding of agentic AI architectures, AI orchestration platforms, vector databases, and enterprise AI design patterns.
• Experience working within Manufacturing, Aerospace & Defense, Energy & Utilities, Construction & Engineering, Telecommunications, Service Industries, or other asset‑intensive industries.
• Relevant certifications such as Azure, AWS, TOGAF, CISSP, Security+, AI certifications, or equivalent credentials.
