Job summary

NES Fircroft is recruiting for Quantity Surveyors at various levels to join a major substations project in Denmark. The successful candidates will manage commercial and contractual delivery across the project lifecycle.

The roles suit experienced QS professionals in civil engineering, electrical infrastructure or major construction, with rotation options and international exposure. 25 days annual leave and rotation packages support travel and relocation.

Qualifications

• A third-level qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or a related discipline.
• Previous experience working as a Project Quantity Surveyor.
• For more senior positions, 5+ years' relevant experience.
• Experience within civil engineering, electrical infrastructure, M&E or major construction projects.
• Strong commercial and contractual awareness.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
• Confidence communicating and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience managing subcontractors and commercial packages.

Responsibilities

• Managing and taking ownership of commercial and contractual requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Acting as a key interface with the Client's Commercial and Contract teams.
• Managing project procurement, including subcontractor packages.
• Conducting detailed cost and risk analysis.
• Reviewing correspondence from the Employer, Design Team and subcontractors to identify contractually critical matters.
• Managing the commercial aspects of subcontractor relationships.
• Preparing project costing, margin and cashflow reports.
• Managing project change control procedures.
• Agreeing variations and associated costs with the client.
• Supporting the wider project team in achieving commercial and contractual objectives.
• Monitoring project costs and performance throughout the project lifecycle.
