Job summary

Navartis Ltd is currently seeking an Electrical Quantity Surveyor to join a major data centre project in Copenhagen, Denmark. You will manage electrical package commercial activities from procurement through final account, working closely with project teams and clients to maximise value and minimise risk.

We welcome candidates with strong electrical, MEP or engineering backgrounds; data centre experience is advantageous. Roles available at QS and Senior QS levels with relocation support.

• Data centre or complex project experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial delivery of electrical packages from procurement through to final account.
• Prepare and review valuations, variations and change orders.
• Manage subcontractor accounts and monitor commercial performance.
• Support subcontract procurement and tender processes.
• Prepare cost reports, forecasts and cash-flow projections.
• Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
• Review contractual requirements and ensure commercial compliance.
• Support the preparation and negotiation of claims.
• Collaborate with project, engineering, procurement and commercial teams.
• Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and stakeholders.

Navartis is representing a leading international engineering contractor delivering a hyperscale data centre development in Copenhagen, and they are looking to strengthen their commercial team with experienced Quantity Surveyors.

There is a 5+ year pipeline of work in Denmark, giving you the opportunity to build international experience, establish yourself within a growing market and potentially move onto future projects as the programme develops.

Due to a strong pipeline of new projects, we are actively recruiting Electrical Quantity Surveyors at both Senior and QS level.

Typical Responsibilities - Electrical Quantity Surveyor

As an Electrical Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management of electrical packages across major data centre and engineering projects.

Depending on your level of experience, responsibilities will include:

• Managing the commercial delivery of electrical packages from procurement through to final account
• Preparing and reviewing valuations, variations and change orders
• Managing subcontractor accounts and commercial performance
• Supporting subcontract procurement and tender processes
• Preparing cost reports, forecasts and cash-flow projections
• Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities
• Reviewing contractual requirements and ensuring commercial compliance
• Supporting the preparation and negotiation of claims
• Working closely with project, engineering, procurement and commercial teams
• Building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and project stakeholders
• Supporting commercial close-out and final account negotiations

Key Success Factors - Electrical Quantity Surveyor

We are interested in Quantity Surveyors with a strong electrical, MEP or engineering background, particularly those who have worked on mission critical construction projects.

Data Centre experience is highly advantageous, but it is not essential. Candidates with strong electrical or MEP commercial experience from other complex project environments will also be considered.

We're open to candidates at different levels, from experienced Electrical QSs through to Senior Quantity Surveyors with responsibility for larger packages and teams.
