Job summary

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy A/S invites a Student Worker to join the Customer Order Engineering team for sea transport design of wind turbine components. You will help develop methodologies, generate diagrams, and evaluate routes while supporting bolt reuse standardization.

Ideal candidates are pursuing degrees in Marine Engineering or related fields, with knowledge of wave–structure interaction, ship stability, and MATLAB/Python. This is a part-time student position based in Denmark.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marine Engineering, Fluid Mechanics, Hydrodynamics, Naval Architecture or related field.
  • Knowledge of wave–structure interaction and ship stability preferred.
  • Experience with Orcina software (OrcaFlex and OrcaWave) is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with potential flow theory and classification society rules (DNV, BV, ABS).
  • Knowledge of numerical programming using MATLAB and/or Python.

Responsibilities

  • Support development of methodologies for accelerating sea transport design.
  • Generate Hs/Tp scatter diagrams and evaluate sea transport routes for wind turbine components.
  • Assist in standardizing bolt reuse methods to enhance efficiency.
  • Format wind load packages and MWS documents to ensure professional presentation.
  • Update and maintain weight and dimension documents for consistency.
