Tryg is seeking a Strategic Transformation Manager to lead the finance transformation across data, systems, processes and organisation. You will partner with senior leaders and the Transformation Office within the CFO area to shape strategy, solve critical issues and guide the programme to deliver tangible progress.

• Drive executive decision-making with clear recommendations and materials for steering committees, CFO and Executive Board.
• Act as trusted challenger to project managers and workstream leaders, strengthening plans and ensuring momentum.
• Drive stakeholder alignment and change, translating decisions into clear narratives for leaders and the wider organisation.
• Strengthen programme governance and transparency, ensuring timely senior leadership visibility of progress, risks, and costs.
• Coach and develop junior colleagues, raising the bar on structured problem solving and executive communication.

Job description

Are you driven by solving complex problems, shaping senior-level decisions and turning strategy into tangible progress? As our new Strategic Transformation Manager, you will play a central role in Tryg’s major finance transformation. Working across data, systems, processes and organisation, you will help shape the direction of the transformation, solve critical issues and support senior leadership in making the right decisions.

You will join the Transformation Office within the CFO area and work closely with senior leaders, project managers and subject-matter experts across Tryg.

About the role | Strategic thinking and hands-on transformation

The Transformation Office sits at the centre of the Finance transformation, creating clarity across the programme, challenging direction and helping ensure that critical issues are resolved.

As Strategic Transformation Manager, you will take significant ownership across the programme and act as a key sparring partner to the Head of Transformation Office.

In this role, you will:

• Shape and drive key transformation topics, bringing structure to ambiguous problems, challenging assumptions and priorities, and getting hands‑on when important issues, risks or dependencies need to be resolved.
• Drive executive decision‑making, turning complex topics into clear recommendations and high‑quality materials for steering committees, the CFO and Executive Board.
• Act as a trusted challenger to project managers and workstream leaders, strengthening plans, connecting topics across the transformation and support creating momentum and accountability around critical actions.
• Drive stakeholder alignment and change, identifying where engagement is needed and translating transformation decisions into clear narratives and communication for leaders and the wider organisation.
• Strengthen programme governance and transparency, ensuring that the right topics reach senior leadership at the right time and connecting progress, risks, resources, costs and benefits into a coherent programme view.
• Coach and develop junior colleagues, helping raise the bar on structured problem solving, analysis and executive communication across the Transformation Office.

You will need to move comfortably between the big picture and the detail – from developing an Executive Board storyline to diving into an unfamiliar data, system or finance-process issue with subject‑matter experts.

About you | Consulting mindset with a drive to create impact

We are looking for someone with a strong strategic problem‑solving toolkit who is equally comfortable thinking at executive level and getting into the details.

You are naturally curious and do not need to be the subject‑matter expert from day one. You enjoy learning how things work, asking the questions that get to the heart of an issue.

You combine analytical rigour with pragmatism: you know when further analysis is needed and when it is time to make a recommendation or decision and move forward.

To succeed in this role we expect you to:

• Have from 4 years of relevant experience, for example from a top‑tier management consultancy, in‑house consulting team or a comparable strategy & transformation environment.
• Have a strong foundation in structured problem solving, executive communication and working with senior stakeholders.
• Have proven ability to structure complex and ambiguous problems and translate them into clear recommendations.
• Be comfortable challenging senior stakeholders and subject‑matter experts constructively.
• Be proactive, take ownership and naturally look ahead for emerging issues and opportunities.
• Be curious and willing to dive into the details of unfamiliar topics across finance, technology, data and processes.
• Enjoy coaching and developing more junior colleagues.
• Be fluent in a Scandinavian language (Danish, Swedish or Norwegian) and English.
• Experience from finance or insurance is an advantage, but not a requirement.

About us | Transformation Office, CFO Area

The Transformation Office is currently a small team of 3 people within Strategic Finance & Transformation in Tryg’s CFO area.

Our role is not to run every initiative ourselves. Instead, we work across the transformation to create clarity, challenge plans and assumptions, resolve cross‑cutting issues and ensure that senior leadership has the insights and decision support needed to drive the programme forward.

You will join a small team with significant responsibility and exposure, where analytical curiosity, high‑quality thinking and a willingness to challenge are central to how we work.
