Job summary

VELUX is seeking a Senior Strategy Manager in Østbirk to lead governance and execution of a strategic programme within the Strategic Programme Office of Products & Innovation. You will interact with executive leadership to translate strategic ambitions into actionable plans.

You will drive governance cycles, align multiple functions, and support business-case development while maintaining transparency on risks and actions. English fluency is essential, and collaboration is key.

Qualifications

3–6 years of experience from a leading strategy consulting firm or strategy, transformation or programme management role in a large international organisation.
Holds a relevant higher education degree.
Experience supporting governance structures or programme offices for complex, cross-functional initiatives with senior executives.
Strong capabilities in structured problem-solving, analytical thinking, stakeholder management and executive communication.
Experience with negotiation, change management and organisational alignment.
Solid understanding of business cases and financial logic underpinning strategic decisions.
Ability to translate complex topics into concise, impactful communication for senior leadership.
Comfortable operating between strategic direction and operational execution.
Fluent in English, written and spoken.
Thrives on collaboration and influence rather than formal authority.

Responsibilities

Drive the programme governance cycle, including preparation for Steering Committee, Executive Group Management and Board of Directors meetings.
Prepare agendas, pre-reads, decision materials, decision logs and follow-up actions.
Develop clear, compelling and decision-oriented materials and recommendations for senior leadership.
Consolidate input from multiple functions into fact-based recommendations and proposals.
Maintain the integrated programme plan with deliverables and dependencies.
Ensure systematic follow-up on executive decisions, conditions and actions.
Support reporting of programme status, risks, issues and required decisions.
Collaborate with Group Finance on the programme business case, financial assumptions and steering.
Maintain transparency around risks, issues and actions and escalate when needed.
Coordinate with stakeholders across Sales & Marketing, Product Management, R&D, Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement and Strategy & Execution.
Support development and professionalisation of governance practices within Products & Innovation.
