BRIC, University of Copenhagen, invites applications for a staff scientist in molecular biology to join the Cvejic Lab starting January 2027.

The role centers on hematopoietic stem cell biology, single-cell multiome analysis, flow cytometry, and collaboration with clinicians and bioinformaticians. The position offers a dynamic, international research environment with opportunities to develop new methods.

Qualifications

• PhD in life sciences or a related field.
• Extensive hands-on experience in multi-colour flow cytometry.
• Background in cell culture and molecular biology techniques, including CRISPR.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Perform experiments using primary tissue and cells across multiple platforms, including molecular biology, multi-colour flow cytometry, single-cell genomics, and histology.
• Prepare single-cell multiome libraries, coordinate sequencing, and conduct flow cytometry-based cell sorting.
• Write and maintain detailed, reproducible experimental protocols.
• Train and mentor new lab members in core techniques.
• Establish new methodologies in the lab by adapting and optimising published protocols.
• Collaborate closely with biologists, clinicians, and bioinformaticians within and outside the group to advance shared scientific goals.
