Job summary

The University of Copenhagen invites applications for a Staff Scientist position in the Cvejic Lab at BRIC. The successful candidate will join a collaborative team focused on human HSC development, starting January 2027 or soon after, with a fixed-term contract through December 31, 2029.

Responsibilities include experimental work across platforms, library preparation, sequencing coordination, and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• PhD required in life sciences or a related field.
• Extensive hands-on experience with multi-colour flow cytometry.
• Strong background in cell culture and molecular biology techniques.
• Experience with CRISPR-based approaches and troubleshooting new methods.

Responsibilities

• Perform experiments using primary tissue and cells across platforms including flow cytometry, single-cell genomics, and histology.
• Prepare single-cell multiome libraries, coordinate sequencing, and conduct flow sorting.
• Write and maintain detailed, reproducible protocols.
• Train and mentor new lab members in core techniques.
• Develop new methodologies by adapting published protocols and collaborating with team members.
