Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Software Engineer I to join the Trust Tech department. You will work in a cross-functional team with full ownership of products and code, contributing across ideation to maintenance and helping scale fraud-detection systems.

You will collaborate with Data Scientists and Engineers, build features for backend stability, and maintain internal tooling frontends. This role offers growth, mentorship, and exposure to modern infrastructure practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in full-stack web development with focus on backend systems.
• Solid knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Solid understanding of backend development with Node.js.
• Understanding of SQL ( PostgreSQL ) and NoSQL ( DynamoDB ) database concepts.
• Familiarity with component-based frontend development ( React ).
• Hands-on experience with AWS or GCP.

Responsibilities

• Work in a cross-functional "full ownership" team alongside Product, Design, and Data Science.
• Implement and release new features with a focus on backend stability and scalability.
• Help build solutions to handle high-volume data processing for fraud detection.
• Maintain and improve the internal tooling frontends (React) used for investigations.
• Troubleshoot existing software, squash bugs, and optimize database performance.
• Participate in Infrastructure as Code discussions and learn best practices.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists to support integration of detection models.
