Eurowind Energy is seeking a Team Lead for Trading & Monitoring in Hobro, Denmark. You will lead five developers, guiding delivery without needing to write code yourself, and shape how the team works within the broader organisation.

You will collaborate with Product Owner, Scrum Master and architect, maintaining focus on people outcomes, team culture and delivery reliability. The role emphasizes independence, clear decision-making and a strong emphasis on growth and energy trading context.

Team Lead, Software Development - Trading & Monitoring

Do you have experience leading developers – and are you more motivated by making a team succeed than by writing the code yourself? Then you may be our new Team Lead for Trading & Monitoring.

We are looking for an experienced Team Lead to join our Trading & Monitoring team in IT Software. Based at our headquarters in Hobro, you will have people responsibility for five developers who build and operate the platforms behind Eurowind’s energy trading and the monitoring of our parks.

Your role

This position is deliberately shaped differently from our two other team lead roles. Where they are “playing coaches” with their weight on the technical side, this one is dedicated to people and to the framework the team works within. You do not need to write code to succeed here – you need to build a team that does.

• People leadership of five developers: regular 1:1s, feedback, development plans and career paths


• Allocating tasks and areas of responsibility within the team, matching both the team’s deliverables and each individual’s skills and development goals


• Ownership of team culture, wellbeing and day-to-day ways of working


• Conflict handling within the team – you mediate between team members rather than only holding the conversations 1:1


• Recruitment and onboarding of new colleagues, together with HR and your manager


• Approving holiday and absence, and proposing salary changes within HR’s framework


• Identifying and removing blockers and delivery risks – yourself, or by escalating


• Acting as the link between the team and the wider organisation, including Trading and Commercial


• Sparring with the Product Owner, Scrum Master and architect on planning, estimation and prioritisation

You work closely with the team’s Product Owner and Scrum Master, who own what gets built and how we work respectively. Technical ownership is shared with the team’s senior developers and our architect – so you can stay focused where you make the biggest difference.

We lead through direction and frameworks rather than close supervision. We agree the mandate and the expectations, and from there you decide the route.

You will report to Senior Manager of Software Development, Daniel Otkjær, and become part of the leadership group in IT Software.

What matters most to us is demonstrated experience leading people. We are looking for someone who:

• Has several years of people management experience, ideally with developers or other specialists


• Has experience with 1:1s, feedback and development conversations – and with mediating when conflicts arise between colleagues


• Has been involved in recruitment and onboarding


• Understands agile software development and how a development team delivers


• Communicates clearly and creates direction and psychological safety in a team


• Is comfortable making decisions and standing by them


• Is fluent in Danish and English, written and spoken

A technical background – for example as a developer, tech lead or architect – is a clear plus, but not a requirement. Familiarity with energy trading or the energy sector is likewise an advantage, but something you can readily learn with us.
