Reblade, a Danish tech startup, seeks a Senior Test & V&V Engineer to lead validation of drone-based repairs. You will own V&V across unit to field tests, coordinate pilots and technicians, and ensure our hardware and software stack meets release standards.
You will design test rigs, write automated scripts, and drive quality control from FAT to EOL. The role requires hands-on leadership and strong English communication in a fast-paced robotics team.
Reblade is a Danish tech startup founded in 2020, developing automated wind turbine blade repairs. We design and build drone-based robotic systems that utilize computer vision, sensors, and cloud software to deliver accurate and efficient operations and reporting workflows for some of the world’s largest wind energy operators.
Our team consists of highly skilled engineers within robotics, mechanical engineering, control systems, embedded systems, computer vision, and software development. We have several PhDs, post-docs and a professor on the team. The majority of our employees have relocated from all over the world to Denmark, creating a strong international culture of autonomy, technical excellence, and collaborative innovation.
We have a highly ambitious startup culture where everyone is a key contributor to building technology that works in the real world.
We’re looking for a Senior Test & V&V Engineer to lead testing of our drone-based repair system, from individual units and subsystems to the complete product in the field. You’ll own V&V, lead test campaigns with our pilots and technicians, and make sure the product is reliable and ready for release. You’ll work across hardware and software validation, helping ensure our product is reliable, robust, and ready for release.
Key responsibilities
Lead the V&V strategy and test activities at every level: unit, subsystem, integrated system, flight testing, and field validation.
Work with the hardware and software teams to define test requirements and acceptance criteria.
Plan and manage test campaigns. Coordinate drone pilots and technicians during bench, flight, and field tests.
Design and build test rigs and fixtures, mainly using CAD and 3D printing.
Write and maintain test procedures and automated test scripts for hardware and the robotics/embedded software stack.
Set up quality control, including incoming inspection, first article inspection (FAI), and end-of-line (EOL) acceptance testing.
Prepare and conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), including test plans, procedures, checklists, and customer-facing test reports.
Analyse test data, maintain traceability from requirements to test results, and report go/no-go to the team.
Drive root cause analysis on failures and feed results into the NCR process.
Essential requirements
Degree in mechatronics, robotics, mechanical engineering, electronics, or a related field.
5+ years of hands‑on testing of electromechanical or embedded systems.
Experience leading test activities and coordinating technicians or operators.
Experience preparing and running FAT/SAT or similar customer acceptance testing.
CAD skills (Onshape or similar) and practical experience with 3D printing.
Fluent English and a collaborative, hands‑on mindset.
Desirable
Experience with UAVs and flight testing.
Experience with hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HIL) testing.
Python scripting, test automation, and experience with data acquisition.
Experience working with ROS2 or an equivalent robotics software framework.
Exposure to environmental testing, CE marking, or certification.
Experience with fluid dispensing or coating processes.
