Odense, Denmark | Full-time | Aerospace & Unmanned Systems
Thunderstrike Aviation is expanding its Quality organization and seeking a Quality Engineer to support the development, verification, and production of next-generation unmanned aerial systems (UAS under 150 kg).
We are proud to be an international company with a diverse and collaborative culture. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with colleagues and partners around the world, contributing to a truly global team environment.
This role is central to ensuring product conformity, reliability, and airworthiness intent as our aircraft progress from early prototypes through operationally ready production systems.
This is a highly hands-on position within a fast-growing aerospace startup. You will work closely with Design, Manufacturing, and Test teams to help define, implement, and continuously strengthen quality practices while the organization, products, and processes evolve.
Your primary responsibility will be to turn engineering requirements into practical quality controls for the product and manufacturing process.
You will:
The role is focused on the physical product and manufacturing environment rather than QMS procedures and documentation.
We are looking for a Quality Engineer with experience from a technical manufacturing environment who can understand engineering documentation and translate it into practical inspection and quality requirements.
You should have experience with:
Experience with GD&T, Control Plans, configuration management or prototype production is relevant.
Aerospace experience is an advantage, but not a requirement. Relevant experience from automotive, defense, electronics or other regulated manufacturing environments can be equally valuable. Thunderstrike will help you building up knowledge of the aerospace-specific regulatory and conformity framework internally.
You enjoy working in an environment where products and processes are still being developed. You are comfortable working across Quality, Engineering and Manufacturing and combining structured quality engineering with practical problem solving.
You will play an important role in preparing Thunderstrike's manufacturing setup for the transition from prototypes to low-rate and, eventually, full-rate production.
EU citizenship and eligibility for required NATO security clearance are required for the role.
