Job description

Lead the Ground and Flight Testing of the Next Generation of Heavy-Lift Cargo UAS

Are you ready to take our aircraft from prototype to proven performance? As a Test Engineer with us, you will develop and execute the testing activities that validate every aspect of our next-generation cargo aircraft. From propulsion systems and structural components to full-scale flight tests, you will be responsible for generating the data and insights that drive engineering decisions and accelerate product development.

Your Role

We are seeking a Test Engineer to develop and execute the testing strategy for our cargo drone systems. You will be responsible for planning, building, and operating test setups ranging from propulsion rigs and structural tests to full-scale flight tests. This role sits at the center of product development and directly influences the maturity and performance of our systems. You will be working with:

Test Planning & Execution
  • Develop test plans, procedures, and acceptance criteria
  • Execute component, subsystem, and system-level testing
  • Define verification and validation activities
  • Ensure safe and repeatable testing processes
Test Infrastructure
  • Design and build test rigs and instrumentation systems
  • Integrate sensors, DAQ systems, telemetry, and data logging solutions
  • Support hardware-in-the-loop and propulsion testing
Flight Testing
  • Support preparation and execution of flight tests
  • Coordinate test campaigns and flight readiness reviews
  • Analyze flight data and identify system improvements
Data Analysis & Reporting
  • Process and interpret test data
  • Generate technical reports and recommendations
  • Support root cause investigations and failure analyses
About You

We’re looking for someone who is curious, hands‑on, and eager to work across disciplines. You should enjoy solving complex problems and turning ideas into working systems. You have a can‑do attitude and are not afraid to work across multiple disciplines in small teams or on your own.

You Likely Have
  • Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Experience with experimental testing and data acquisition systems
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with instrumentation and sensor integration
  • Comfortable working hands‑on with hardware
Nice To Have
  • UAV, aerospace, automotive, or motorsport testing experience
  • Experience with LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python, or similar tools
  • Familiarity with telemetry and flight‑test operations
  • Knowledge of structural, propulsion, or environmental testing
