Job summary

SimCorp in Copenhagen is seeking a Senior/Lead Software Engineer to join our engineering team building fintech solutions for OTC asset management within SimCorp Dimension and SimCorp One. You will design, build, and modernize APIs and services primarily in C#, with OCaml/APL exposure, refactoring legacy systems, and contributing to scalable backend architecture.

The role emphasizes collaboration, testing, CI/CD, and clear communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Solid C# skills. Seniority level dictates ownership and architectural input.
• Experience with functional programming; familiarity with OCaml, APL, F#, Scala or Haskell is a plus.
• Experience refactoring existing code and contributing to architecture decisions for scalable backend systems.
• Strong collaboration and English communication skills. Degree in Computer Science or STEM with hands-on software engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and extend APIs and solutions for the OTC asset management product.
• Work primarily in C#; familiarity with OCaml and APL is a plus.
• Refactor and modernize legacy code without disrupting business operations.
• Improve quality, performance, and user experience across systems.
• Collaborate with product owners to refine requirements and shape feature delivery.
• Work in a team of engineers with code reviews, shared ownership, and CI/CD practices.
• Build, extend, and consume REST APIs; communicate clearly with technical and business stakeholders.
