Job summary

SimCorp seeks senior/lead Software Engineers to join the engineering team building fintech solutions within SimCorp Dimension and SimCorp One. You will design, build, and extend APIs for OTC assets, primarily in C#, while collaborating across a hybrid team in Copenhagen.

The role emphasizes performance, reliability, and modernizing legacy systems. You’ll work with OCaml and APL, contribute to architectural decisions, and participate in CI/CD, testing, and REST APIs.

Qualifications

• Interest in creating innovative features for a complex platform.
• Solid C# skills; seniority determines ownership and architectural input.
• Experience with, or genuine interest in, functional programming.
• Familiarity with OCaml, APL, F#, Standard ML, Scala or Haskell is a real advantage.
• Experience (or strong interest) in refactoring existing code and working with legacy systems.
• Track record of contributing to architectural decisions on scalable backend systems.
• Good collaboration and communication skills, with fluency in English.
• A relevant degree with hands-on software engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and extend APIs for the OTC asset management product.
• Work primarily in C#.
• OCaml and APL experience is a strong plus.
• Refactor legacy code without disrupting business operations.
• Improve quality, performance, and user experience across systems.
• Collaborate with product owner to refine requirements and shape features.
• Pair programming, code reviews, and shared ownership within the team.
• Follow clean code, automated testing, and CI/CD practices.
• Build, extend and consume REST APIs.
• Communicate clearly with technical and business stakeholders.
• Continual learning to grow with the team and product.
