Job summary

Novicell in Aarhus is seeking a Senior Frontend Developer for Shopify to lead frontend workstreams and deliver high-quality storefronts. You will work with colleagues across UX, CRO, SEO, and paid media to craft scalable Shopify solutions.

You will own frontend design, implementation, and architecture decisions, collaborating with backend developers and project managers to drive scoping, estimation, and delivery from start to finish.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of frontend development experience for ecommerce platforms.
• Solid experience with Shopify frontend development.
• Proficiency in Liquid, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML and CSS/SCSS.
• Ability to take technical ownership and lead frontend workstreams.
• Translate business and design requirements into technical tasks.
• Structured, pragmatic approach from idea to production.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain high-quality storefront solutions on Shopify.
• Develop and extend Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Own frontend workstreams across projects and collaborate with backend colleagues.
• Translate requirements into performant, maintainable frontend solutions.
• Participate in client dialogue and scope/estimate frontend work.
