Job summary

European Energy seeks a Senior Transaction Manager, Project Finance, to lead complex, non-recourse financing transactions from mandate to close across Europe. You will be the primary lender contact, directing a deal team and making autonomous decisions on deal execution.

You will work with lenders, internal stakeholders, and external advisors to deliver large-scale renewable energy finance, with extensive travel across Europe.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years in project finance within renewable energy or infrastructure.
• Experience leading transactions from mandate to close.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management with lenders.
• Experience structuring non-recourse transactions per bankability principles.
• Advanced financial modelling, credit analysis, and risk assessment.
• Knowledge of PPAs, EPC contracts, wind TSAs/SAs, BESS LTSAs.
• Willingness to travel across Europe.

Responsibilities

• Drive all aspects of transaction execution from mandate to close.
• Produce transaction information materials and run market soundings with prospective lenders.
• Draft term sheets and lead negotiations.
• Oversee the hiring of advisors and manage the diligence process.
• Review financing documentation and negotiate with lenders and their counsel.
• Provide guidance and quality assurance to junior colleagues on the financial model.
• Ensure closing conditions are met and facilitate the first disbursement.
• Serve as the single point of contact for lenders throughout the transaction.
• Maintain and oversee the overall transaction timeline.
• Ensure alignment with internal stakeholders for post-closing.
