Job summary

Cetec Energy seeks a Senior Production Methods Engineer with extensive Oil & Gas offshore experience to act as a key link between offshore operations and the onshore organization. The position is onshore, starting ASAP, for a 1-year, full-time engagement.

You will lead production-related initiatives, support HSE and risk assessments, interpret P&IDs and vendor drawings, and coordinate with Procurement to ensure timely material delivery to offshore. Fluency in Danish and English is required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Background as Production Superintendent or similar with offshore exposure.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science, Petroleum Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong process understanding and ability to interpret P&IDs, vendor documentation and construction drawings.
• Strong analytical skills, including Root Cause Analysis.
• Good knowledge of SAP and MS Office.

Responsibilities

Are you a highly experienced Production Methods Engineer with a strong Oil & Gas background and solid offshore operational experience?

We are looking for a Senior Production Methods Engineer to join the team and act as a key link between offshore operations and the onshore organization.

Location: Onshore

Start: ASAP

Duration: 1 year

Full-time

Your responsibilities

• Supporting offshore with HSE, risk assessments, HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, LOPA and DGS activities
• Acting as the main interface between offshore and onshore on production and operational matters
• Providing first-line diagnostics and operational support to offshore
• Optimizing production and minimizing downtime through temporary solutions and effective coordination
• Supporting projects impacting daily operations and calculating production shortfalls
• Coordinating urgent material requirements with Procurement and ensuring parts reach offshore efficiently
• Following up on safety-critical equipment, including Inflow, HIPPS and ESDV/BDV compliance
• Supporting shutdown planning and coordinating activities across Inspection, Corrosion and Maintenance
• Identifying opportunities to optimize production performance, including water injection, OIW, fuel, flare, lift gas and chemicals
• Participating in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) when required
• Supporting SIMOPS dossiers, operating procedures, isolation plans, flushing and inerting procedures
• Leading production-related initiatives and minor projects
• Coaching and supporting Production Methods Engineers
• Supporting DGS, Integrity Management and the Derogation Process

We are looking for someone who has

10+ years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry

Ideally a background as Production Superintendent or similar, with offshore exposure

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science, Petroleum Engineering or equivalent

Strong process understanding and ability to interpret P&IDs, vendor documentation and construction drawings

Strong analytical skills, including Root Cause Analysis

Good knowledge of SAP and MS Office

Broad operational knowledge and understanding of procedures, guidelines, processes and technical standards

Strong HSE focus and a structured, methodical mindset

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work across multiple disciplines and cultures

Fluent Danish and English
