Job summary

Performativ is seeking a Hands-On Lead Cloud Engineer to lead Mission Control, our Platform Engineering and Reliability team. You will be deeply involved in building production infrastructure, guiding platform evolution, and delivering secure, self‑service capabilities for product teams.

You will mentor engineers, contribute to code and infrastructure, and own reliability practices, cost visibility, and security posture in a fintech environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead Mission Control and stay hands-on across cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, and reliability.
• Build and evolve a secure, self‑service platform enabling product teams to deploy and operate independently.
• Create reusable AWS CDK constructs, infrastructure standards, and golden paths to reduce complexity and improve developer experience.
• Set technical direction for Mission Control and guide platform evolution, reliability, and developer experience.
• Strengthen reliability practices with SLOs, runbooks, incident tooling, and post‑incident improvements.
• Treat cloud cost as a first‑class engineering concern by improving visibility and scaling efficiently.
• Collaborate with security to build secure‑by‑default platform capabilities and strengthen security posture.
• Own evolving the engineering platform to empower all product teams to build, deploy, and operate services.
• Provide technical leadership and coaching to a small team of platform engineers while delivering.
