Job summary

3Shape is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to join the Cloud Storage team. You will design, develop, and maintain backend services that move, store, and synchronize data across dental clinics, laboratories, and cloud environments, using C#/.NET and Azure.

You will own end-to-end delivery, include IaC, DevOps, and observability, and work on multi-region pipelines with a focus on reliability and performance. Fluent English is required and PKI/Merkle knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional C#/.NET backend development experience.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms, distributed systems concepts, concurrency and asynchronous programming, performance optimization, system design and architecture, and debugging complex production problems.
• Professional experience in SQL, optionally experience with Postgres is desirable.
• Strong backend engineering fundamentals (design, performance, security and scalability).
• Experience with API design, automated testing, code reviews and building maintainable systems.
• Curiosity for modern engineering practices and willingness to keep up with relevant technologies and trends.
• A strong ownership mindset: automation-first, focus on reliability and continuous improvement of quality and stability.
• Experience with containerized workloads.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend services powering core platform capabilities.
• Work on distributed systems, data synchronization challenges, scalability, reliability and performance.
• Combine backend development with SRE, Infrastructure as Code and DevOps for end-to-end delivery.
• Collaborate with platform and product teams to align on Azure standards and best practices, especially around observability and operational readiness.
