3Shape in Denmark is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer (DevOps/SRE & Cloud) to join the Account team. The role focuses on building and operating the Azure-based platform that powers our customer-facing services, with emphasis on reliability, security, and scalable infrastructure.
You will drive CI/CD, AKS/Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code with Pulumi (C#/.NET), monitoring, and incident readiness, while also contributing to backend services when needed.
At 3Shape, we use cloud platforms to deliver secure, reliable services to both internal teams and external customers. Microsoft Azure is our primary cloud provider, and we are scaling our footprint across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS to support critical product experiences.
We are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer (DevOps/SRE & Cloud) to join the 3Shape Account team. The primary focus of the role is DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE): building, automating, securing, and operating the Azure-based platform capabilities used by the majority of 3Shape's customer-facing products.
The team owns authentication and authorization, as well as enterprise user management. Because these capabilities are foundational, we focus strongly on reliability, operability, deployment safety, observability, and secure-by-default engineering. We build cloud solutions in Azure using RESTful APIs and event-driven microservices, and we also develop web front ends for customer-facing interactions.
This is first and foremost a DevOps/SRE role with a strong software-engineering mindset. You will drive improvements across CI/CD, AKS/Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, observability, incident readiness, automation, and platform stability. You will help ensure that the Account platform is reliable, maintainable, and ready for production at scale.
A significant part of the responsibility is maintaining, improving, and extending the team's Infrastructure as Code. We use Pulumi written in C#/.NET to describe and manage Azure infrastructure, which means infrastructure changes are treated as software: reviewed, tested, version-controlled, and continuously improved together with the application code.
Backend engineering is an important secondary part of the role. You may already be comfortable designing and implementing C#/.NET backend services, or you may be a strong DevOps/SRE engineer who wants to evolve further into backend engineering. In either case, you should be willing to contribute to backend services in the Account domain over time, including implementation, testing, code reviews, and deployment readiness.
The role therefore requires strong DevOps/SRE experience, practical cloud-infrastructure ownership, and an interest in applying software engineering discipline to both infrastructure and application code.
You will collaborate with platform and product teams across 3Shape to align on Azure standards and best practices, especially around Pulumi-based Infrastructure as Code, observability, deployment readiness, incident handling, and operational stability.
You are a reliability-focused engineer who values pragmatic automation, continuous improvement, and collaboration. You thrive in agile teams and take ownership from infrastructure quality and deployment pipelines to operational outcomes in production, while also building or growing your backend engineering capability.
