Danfoss Sensing Solutions is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical architecture and packaging for next-generation sensing platforms in Nordborg, Denmark. The role focuses on gas sensing and data centre applications, driving robust, manufacturable solutions through concept to industrialization.

You will collaborate across engineering disciplines, own complex mechanical challenges, and contribute to an energy-efficient, safe, and sustainable product portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience developing industrial sensors or highly integrated mechanical systems.
• Experience with gas sensing and data centre applications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical architecture and design of sensing platforms.
• Develop encapsulation, sealing, and environmental protection solutions.
• Drive mechanical work packages across projects with cross-functional teams.
• Support prototyping, design reviews, risk assessments, testing, and supplier collaboration.
• Collaborate with sensing specialists, electronics, firmware, manufacturing, product management and partners.
