Job summary

Dedalus is seeking a hands-on Technical Lead / Team Lead Java to guide the LABKA II platform for the Nordic region. You will own architecture, coding standards and technical delivery while mentoring engineers and collaborating with Product, QA and the India hub.

The role may include Team Lead activities and requires 5+ years of Java, strong communication, HL7 knowledge and experience with healthcare software in a Danish context.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Java development and relational database design (laboratory/clinical data).
• Proven experience providing technical leadership, making architecture decisions, and mentoring engineers.
• Balancing hands-on technical contribution with technical planning and coordination.
• Interest in or experience with selected Team Lead activities is an advantage but not a requirement.
• Experience with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) or healthcare software is a strong plus.
• Experience coordinating delivery across distributed/multi-site teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git).
• Healthcare/laboratory domain standards and interoperability (e.g., HL7).
• Fluent in Danish and English.

Responsibilities

• Own technical direction and architecture decisions for the LABKA II platform (Java).
• Set and enforce coding standards and code review discipline; identify technical debt and drive remediation.
• Act as the primary technical contact for PM, Architecture, and Support.
• Support selected people-leadership activities such as mentoring and hiring input.
• Drive sprint and release planning in coordination with Product Management and QA.
• Contribute hands-on to complex development tasks and production troubleshooting; participate in code reviews.
