Job summary

Twoday is seeking a Senior Backend Java Developer to join a major Danish digital health delivery in Copenhagen. You will work hands‑on across the full lifecycle, writing robust backend services, APIs and integrations with focus on reliability, security and production readiness.

You’ll collaborate with Solution Architects, testers and DevOps, operate in a multi‑supplier delivery model, and own aspects of design, testing and deployment to ensure high availability in healthcare domains.

Qualifications

• Extensive Java backend experience with complex, business‑critical software.
• Designing and building APIs and integrations across diverse systems.
• Experience with microservices, distributed systems and event‑driven architectures.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD and Git workflows.
• Healthcare/public‑sector domain experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend services and server‑side components.
• Develop APIs and integrations across a complex application landscape.
• Contribute to application design, data modelling and technical decisions.
• Work with microservices and distributed systems; ensure resilience and observability.
• Collaborate with suppliers in a cross‑company delivery model and ensure secure coding practices.
