Job summary

Unity, a leading real-time advertising platform, is seeking a senior engineer to guide architecture and operation of our Ads Infrastructure. You will own and operate distributed systems, mentor engineers, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve observability, resiliency, and performance.

You have 7+ years of production experience, deep Kubernetes and cloud-native systems knowledge, and strong debugging and networking skills. Relocation not offered; English communication required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years building and operating large-scale distributed systems in production.
• Backend service and infrastructure development experience.
• Hands-on Kubernetes and cloud-native systems in GCP/AWS/Azure.
• Expertise in traffic management, load balancing, networking, and data processing.
• Strong understanding of networking, observability, and end-to-end debugging.

Responsibilities

• Guide architecture and low-level design of distributed systems for scalability and efficiency.
• Own and operate infrastructure services with on-call duties and deep debugging.
• Support onboarding and usage of platform-managed services by engineering teams.
• Drive observability, resiliency, and automation improvements.
• Mentor engineers and uphold engineering best practices through reviews.
• Advise leadership on platform direction and adoption of new infra tech.
