Job summary

GomSpace A/S seeks an experienced Hardware Engineer to lead the integration of GomSpace products into nanosatellite and microsatellite platforms. You will act as a technical owner for electrical hardware, guide interfaces, and drive product maturity across missions.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor engineers, and support proposals with credible technical input, while ensuring robust, compliant hardware solutions for international clients.

Qualifications

• MSc or BSc in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics/Aerospace or related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in hardware design, hardware integration, electronics development, verification, or systems integration.
• Knowledge of digital electronics, embedded hardware, and microcontroller-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical integration of GomSpace products into nanosatellite and microsatellite missions.
• Serve as a product expert for GomSpace hardware platforms, interfaces, functionality, configuration, and performance.
• Drive technical troubleshooting and root-cause analysis during development, integration, testing, and customer projects.
• Lead the integration and verification of new GomSpace products and third-party hardware within satellite platforms.
• Define electrical interface solutions, schematic-level designs, harness concepts for mission integration.
• Coordinate prototyping, validation, documentation, and manufacturing introduction activities for new hardware solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.
• Support technical decision-making and trade-off analyses across customer programmes and internal developments.
• Contribute to process improvements, engineering standards, and product maturity initiatives.
• Support proposal activities and customer discussions by providing credible technical solutions and effort estimates.
