Job description

Do you want to influence the future of intelligent flow measurement? Are you motivated by solving complex technical challenges alongside highly skilled specialists? Are you ready to take ownership of hardware concepts and requirements that enable industry-leading measurement performance?

Here Is What The Job Entails

As our Senior Hardware Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping the future of flow measurement technology. Working closely with specialists in signal processing and measurement science, you will define and develop hardware solutions that enable industry-leading measurement performance.

More specifically, you will be:

  • Defining requirements and architecture for next-generation flow meters
  • Driving technical decisions from concept to production
  • Collaborating with external ASIC design partners while working closely with specialists in signal processing and measurement technology
  • Translating measurement principles into robust hardware solutions
  • Supporting verification, validation, and product integration

We offer a unique opportunity to work on technology that forms the core of our products and creates value for utilities and consumers worldwide. You will join a small team of highly skilled specialists where your expertise will have a direct impact on technical decisions and future solutions. The role combines deep technical challenges, significant influence, and the opportunity to shape technologies that will remain at the heart of our products for years to come.

Meet your future team

You will report directly to the Director of Meters and become part of a highly specialized development environment. Your closest teammates will be an expert in signal processing and a physicist specializing in measurement technology, giving you a unique opportunity to work where hardware, algorithms, and physics converge. At the same time, you will be surrounded by a larger team with colleagues from various backgrounds who share a common passion for solving complex technical challenges. We believe the best solutions are created through close collaboration, open dialogue, and a willingness to challenge each other's thinking.

Less About Us, More About You

We are looking for an experienced hardware engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and turning ideas into robust solutions. You are naturally curious, seek to understand the underlying principles behind a problem, and thrive when collaborating with specialists across multiple disciplines to create the best possible solution.

In order to succeed, we imagine that you:

  • Hold a degree in Electronics Engineering or a related technical discipline
  • Have extensive experience with hardware development.
  • Thrive when working closely with specialists from multiple technical domains
  • Combine analytical thinking with a pragmatic approach to problem solving
  • Communicate complex technical topics clearly and confidently with both internal and external stakeholders

Experience with measurement systems, sensor technologies, mixed-signal electronics, or semiconductor development is considered an advantage, but not a requirement.

Whilst you may not meet all the qualifications listed above, you could still be a good candidate for the position. For us, curiosity, your eagerness to learn and the confidence to take ownership beyond your own area of expertise matter just as much as experience.

As we are an international organization it is important that you are fluent in English.

We are more than an ordinary workplace

We cherish the good colleagueship which we all contribute to, the only limit is your engagement. As we are a big organization you are bound to find one or more colleagues who share the same interest as you. This might be in our board game club, on our cycling team, during our yearly summer festival, or on the padel court. For example, our Team lead, Service Delivery is also our volunteer padel instructor while one of our Software Test Engineers run weekly spinning classes.

Besides the best colleagues you could imagine, we also offer:

  • Work life balance through flexible working hours
  • Employee benefits including a healthy canteen, fitness facilities, in-house dental clinic, hairdresser, and a free health clinic
  • An active employee association that fosters a collaborative and supportive workplace community
  • Beneficial health care and insurance package

The job will be located at Kamstrup's headquarters in Stilling, between Aarhus and Skanderborg.

If you have any questions about the position, please contact Director, Meters, Søren Tønnes, on phone: +45 89 93 10 00.
