Performativ is hiring a Senior Front-End Engineer to co-own the front-end experience for its trading and analytics platform. You will architect and implement production UIs, shaping the shared component library and multi-tenant theming.

The role requires deep React and TypeScript expertise and independence in shipping production software from Copenhagen. You will collaborate with backend, product, and design to deliver complex financial workflows with high performance and strong UX.

Job description

As a Senior Front-End Engineer, you will co-own the front-end experience for Performativ's trading and analytics platform, building high-performance interfaces used by wealth managers and financial institutions. This is a hands-on engineering role with direct ownership of architecture, implementation, and production outcomes.

About The Team

The engineering team owns the platform that powers portfolio management, trading, analytics, reporting, compliance, and client engagement at Performativ. Front-end engineers work closely with backend engineers, product, and design to turn complex financial workflows into software that advisors can use every day.

About The Role

We are looking for a Senior Front-End Engineer to co-own the quality, performance, and architecture of our trading and analytics interfaces. This role is responsible for building production UIs, shaping front-end architecture, and raising the standard of our shared component infrastructure.

You will work closely with backend engineering, product, and design to ship financial workflows from requirements through production. You will co-own the end-to-end front-end scope, including server and client boundaries, hydration strategy, state management, performance, multi-tenant theming, testing, and the component library used across the platform.

This role requires deep React and TypeScript expertise, strong architectural judgment, and the ability to turn complex financial workflows into fast, usable interfaces. You need to be comfortable making implementation decisions independently and shipping production software without management overhead.

This role is based in Copenhagen. We work together from our city-center office, with working from home possible when there is a good reason. You should already be based in Copenhagen or be ready to relocate.

What You’ll Do

• Build high-performance trading, analytics, and portfolio management interfaces used by wealth management professionals.
• Co-own front-end architecture across Next.js 15, React Server Components, TypeScript, and our shared application infrastructure.
• Define server and client boundaries, hydration strategies, and state patterns that keep the platform responsive as complexity grows.
• Scale our shared component library and multi-tenant theming across the platform.
• Improve runtime performance, bundle size, rendering behavior, and application responsiveness.
• Ship production features quickly while making architectural decisions that hold up as the product scales.
• Use AI coding agents where they improve engineering throughput while maintaining control over code quality and implementation decisions.
• Strengthen front-end testing and delivery across Vitest or Jest, Testing Library, Playwright, and CI/CD workflows.
• Co-own implementation decisions from product outcome through production deployment.

What We’re Looking For

• Have built sophisticated production web applications with React and TypeScript and can structure front-end codebases that continue to work as product complexity grows.
• Understand modern React architecture, including React Server Components and the Next.js App Router, or can demonstrate the technical depth to become productive with them quickly.
• Have shipped production work using AI coding agents and understand where they improve engineering output and where direct engineering judgment is required.
• Have improved front-end performance through decisions around bundle size, hydration, rendering, data fetching, and runtime behavior.
• Are comfortable managing server state with TanStack Query and can make deliberate decisions about colocated state and client state libraries.
• Have built or extended component systems using tools such as Radix, shadcn/ui, or custom design systems.
• Understand usability, accessibility, and interaction design well enough to make sound UX decisions without treating design as somebody else’s problem.
• Have shipped tested production software using tools such as Vitest or Jest, Testing Library, Playwright, and automated CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Experience

• Have worked on trading, investment management, portfolio analytics, or other data-intensive financial applications.
• Have worked with AG Grid or comparable data-grid infrastructure for complex datasets and interactions.
• Have worked in a pnpm and Turborepo monorepo with generated API types from OpenAPI specifications.
• Have designed front-end systems supporting multiple tenants, brands, or configurable themes.
• Have mentored engineers or raised engineering standards without moving away from hands-on development.
