Job summary

Monta is seeking a Senior Engineer for the Financial Services team in Denmark to own the architecture and delivery of scalable invoicing, billing, and payment systems. You will work across Europe as we expand, embracing AI to design, implement, and operate high‑reliability financial infrastructure.

You’ll drive end‑to‑end ownership and collaborate with cross‑functional partners. You will be accountable for outcomes, not just output, and you will help grow the team with code reviews and design

Qualifications

• Strong backend engineering experience in production systems.
• Experience with financial systems (billing, invoicing, payments).
• Proven ability to own architecture across multiple teams.
• Shows ownership and initiative in ambiguous environments.

Responsibilities

• Own the new invoicing system end-to-end.
• Build and scale compliance infrastructure for EU markets.
• Improve payment flows from card to payout and reconciliation.
• Collaborate across Finance, Legal, Revenue Ops and Product.
• Drive architecture decisions for auditable and scalable systems.
• Mentor and elevate the Financial Services team.
