Monta is seeking a Senior Engineer for the Financial Services team to own the architecture and delivery of complex financial systems that scale across Europe. You will drive end-to-end projects, from design through production, ensuring auditability and reliability while embracing AI tools daily.

The role focuses on invoicing, billing models, VAT, and compliant payment flows, with a strong emphasis on ownership and cross-team collaboration in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with financial systems and billing platforms.
• Proven ability to own architecture across multiple teams.
• Strong backend engineering with production systems at scale.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end invoice system design and delivery.
• Build and scale EU compliance infrastructure (e‑invoicing, VAT).
• Improve payment flows, reconciliation, and withdrawals at scale.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Revenue Ops, and Product.
