Job summary

Centum Engineering is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial control on electrical engineering projects across Irish and European sites. You will support tenders, monitor budgets, and prepare valuations and final accounts while protecting margins.

The role requires a degree in Quantity Surveying with at least seven years of relevant experience, including electrical construction. Irish/UK site experience and strong contract knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying with 7+ years of experience.
• Substantial electrical construction project experience with evidence of packages and values.
• Irish/UK site experience; European/pharmaceutical/industrial experience desirable.
• Knowledge of standard forms of contract, valuations, variations, claims and subcontractor accounts.
• Strong Excel, reporting and job-costing systems skills.
• Confident negotiation, accurate record-keeping and deadline management.
• Ownership and collaboration; people management for assigned remit.
• Data centre project experience desirable but not essential if electrical experience fits.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day commercial control of electrical projects from tender support to final accounts.
• Protect margin and maintain reliable forecasts with delivery teams.
• Analyse drawings, take-offs and material requirements.
• Prepare interim applications and valuations with evidence of progress.
• Record and price variations, and manage subcontractor accounts and final accounts.
• Reconcile subcontractor applications and measure progress with Planners.
