Job summary

TRS Staffing Solutions, part of the Fluor Group, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a major Data Centre project in Denmark. Based in Fredericia, you will oversee engineering activities, coordinating design with on-site installation through commissioning.

You will work with the project team to ensure constructible designs, compliance with codes, and efficient submittals. A 3rd level Electrical Engineering qualification and 7+ years' data centre experience are required.

Qualifications

• 3rd level Qualification in Electrical Engineering / Building Services Engineering.
• Experience with LV and MV systems in building services and data centre environments.
• Knowledge of Design Guides, Codes of Practice, ETCI/BS7671, EN Standards and IEC Standards.
• Experience with design software (Amtech, Dialux, AutoCAD) and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Execute electrical design reviews and identify gaps or deviations.
• Validate cable sizing and provide recommendations.
• Coordinate technical design with on-site installation through commissioning.
• Compile and issue electrical submittals and manage approvals process.

Job Description

TRS are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a reputable MEP Contractor to support a major Data Centre Project in Denmark. As Senior Electrical Engineer based in Fredericia, Denmark you will be responsible for the engineering activities on a specific construction project. The activities associated with the project will vary and will be agreed with the Project Manager on an ongoing basis. You will co-ordinate the technical design with the onsite installation through to the successful commissioning ensuring that the vision, mission & values are fulfilled.

Responsibilities

In conjunction with your project team, you will be responsible for the execution of various stages of a project as follows:

• Complete electrical design review to identify design gaps and deviations or contradictions in the specifications.


• Validate cable sizing and make recommendations as appropriate.


• Ensure that technical assessments are completed as required and technical issues are resolved without delay.


• Compile and issue electrical technical submittals.


• Manage submittals through the approvals process, track procurement and delivery of electrical equipment and complete the receipt verification process once the equipment is delivered.


• Attend & record regular supply chain meetings to ensure that progress is monitored & maintained within the overall construction programme.


• Update and record progress on system trackers which are fully aligned with the construction schedule.


• Review the electrical installation with the BIM team to ensure the design is constructible and that there is adequate space for installation and maintenance of all equipment and cabling.

Required Experience

• 3rd level Qualification in Electrical Engineering / Building Services Engineering.


• Experience with both LV and MV systems primarily in building services and data centre environments.


• Knowledge & experience of current Design Guides, Codes of Practice, ETCI and or BS7671 Regulations, Building Regulations, EN Standards and IEC Standards, etc,


• Experience in Amtech, Dialux, Adobe Pro, Autodesk AutoCAD 2D and MS Office Suite Software,


• Experience of client, vendor & contractor interaction & management,


• Significant Project engineering experience of 7 years+ ideally in a construction environment.


• Previous record of delivering Electrical projects (Commercial, Industrial, pharma, data centre type projects)
