Job summary

Maersk is seeking a Lead Electrical & Automation specialist to manage the electrical scope for major vessel projects across the fleet. You will act as technical authority, ensuring safe, compliant solutions and driving innovation in vessel design and operation.

Responsibilities include leading design reviews, coordinating with shipyards and suppliers, and guiding commissioning and sea trials to meet schedule, quality and cost targets.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in electrical/marine engineering.
• Significant shipbuilding or marine engineering experience.
• Experience with design reviews, FATs, commissioning and sea trials.

Responsibilities

• Own the electrical and automation scope for assigned vessel projects from concept to handover.
• Develop technical specifications, standards and internal requirements.
• Lead design reviews and coordinate with shipyards, suppliers, and stakeholders.
• Review and approve electrical system designs, load balance, protection concepts and automation equipment.
• Support inspections, FATs, commissioning, sea trials and operational follow-up.

Education

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Marine Engineering or similar
