Job summary

Vestas is seeking a senior leader to own the Documentation Excellence capability within Research & Development. You will define strategic direction, establish governance, and drive improvements across translation, distribution and content lifecycle in a global, cross-functional setting.

You will partner with stakeholders to design fit-for-purpose solutions, manage risks, and measure impact with KPIs, contributing to scalable, compliant documentation across the organization.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in technical documentation or related areas.
• Ability to translate business needs into future documentation solutions.
• Expertise in modular content, terminology governance, and content lifecycle.
• Experience with documentation systems and digital platforms.

Responsibilities

• Own and oversee the Documentation capability area, defining its strategic direction and ensuring that processes, methods, standards, tools and governance models are established, maintained and continuously improved
• Develop, maintain and implement the Documentation capability roadmap, enabling efficient creation, management, translation, distribution and maintenance of documentation across the business
• Translate complex business needs, operational challenges and documentation requirements into clear capability improvements, strategic initiatives and actionable work packages
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to identify gaps in documentation processes, tools and governance, defining fit-for-purpose solutions that enhance efficiency, quality, compliance and user experience while ensuring alignment and adoption
• Coordinate and support key documentation enhancement initiatives, such as CCMS implementation, modular content, metadata management, terminology governance, AI-enabled translation, quality assurance, and digital distribution
• Identify, evaluate, and address risks, dependencies, and obstacles to adoption to help ensure documentation initiatives and projects are implemented and carried out effectively
• Monitor and measure the effectiveness of documentation capabilities through KPIs, stakeholder feedback and performance metrics, ensuring continuous improvement and value realization
• Encourage knowledge sharing, innovation, and the adoption of best practices by working with internal and external networks to continually enhance Documentation Excellence capabilities
