Job summary

Novo Nordisk seeks an Associate Director for P&O and Quality AI Solutions to set the strategic direction for AI across People & Organisation and Quality. You will lead data platforms and AI products that these functions rely on, from build through to operations, delivering measurable business impact for colleagues worldwide.

You will partner with Business Owners and Enterprise AI to align budgets and governance, lead cross-cultural teams, and drive innovations that simplify the AI landscape

Qualifications

• Master's degree or MBA in software engineering, economics, computer science, data science, AI, business administration or related field
• 8+ years of professional experience, including substantial pharmaceutical industry experience
• Strong experience in IT management, programme leadership and strategy development
• Solid experience with AI and data, including translating innovation into scalable solutions and measurable functional impact
• A proven ability to lead through highly specialised employees, delegating responsibility and empowering teams to act
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with experience navigating complex environments
• A structured, results-oriented approach and the ability to anticipate and address internal and external challenges
• An inclusive, empathetic leadership style, with the ability to motivate and inspire others and collaborate respectfully across cultures.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the strategy for P&O and Quality AI Solutions, aligned with broader organisational goals and measurable outcomes
• Act as Solution Owner for relevant P&O and Quality data solutions and AI products, with accountability for development, support, operations, process adherence and operational excellence
• Drive innovation and strategic initiatives that simplify and improve the P&O and Quality data and AI landscape, including AI-native workforce, process transformation and quality-focused use cases
• Lead organisational design, development, training, planning and effective resource use across the area
• Partner with Business Owners, Product Management and Enterprise AI Management on budgets, portfolio prioritisation and investment allocation
• Build stakeholder alignment across Enterprise AI, P&O, Quality and other lines of business, facilitating agreement on governance, operating models and delivery processes
• Provide inclusive people leadership in line with The Novo Way and Enterprise AI leadership principles, creating an atmosphere of trust and openness
