Job summary

DEPT® is seeking an Associate Design Director in Copenhagen to shape craft vision, elevate design excellence, and steer the strategic direction of the visual design practice. You will influence senior stakeholders, mentor teams, and contribute to growth and thought leadership while representing the agency externally.

You will guide multidisciplinary teams in creating future-ready digital experiences for iconic brands.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in visual/UI/UX design with leadership exposure.
• Portfolio demonstrating strategic impact across complex digital ecosystems.
• Proven ability to influence product, design, and business decisions with clear rationale.

Responsibilities

• Own craft direction across complex projects and accounts, ensuring work is aligned and elevated.
• Define standards, sharpen processes, and enable teams to deliver consistently high-quality work.
• Guide clients and internal teams with high-level creative and product direction beyond the brief.
• Drive innovation through experimentation and curiosity to set benchmarks and win awards.
• Shape the future of the design practice by evolving craft vision and building team capabilities.
• Support pitches and growth opportunities with strong creative POVs linking craft to business impact.
• Represent DEPT externally through talks, posts and publications to amplify reputation.
