Unity is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the design and implementation of a business‑critical data platform. This highly autonomous role sits in a team of senior software and data engineers, working on data platform problems with an emphasis on delivering high‑quality solutions for real business needs.

You will translate complex requirements into resilient software, collaborating with stakeholders and owning solutions through to production, and helping drive architectural improvements

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering fundamentals and data engineering experience.
• Expertise with data streaming technologies such as Kafka and Flink.
• Autonomous and effective in a team setting.
• Experience translating non-technical stakeholder needs into technical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define the problem space and own solutions through to production.
• Identify reliability concerns and opportunities for improvement.
• Pitch and deliver architectural improvements.
• Influence the roadmap toward technical excellence in software and data engineering.
