Job summary

Chainalysis is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Investigations to lead architecture and delivery of cloud-native services. You will own data ingest, streaming initiatives, and scale our AWS-backed APIs and frontend features while partnering with product and design teams to build scalable customer experiences.

You will mentor engineers, drive technical decisions, and help shape a high‑performing, AI-aware engineering culture across multiple services and platforms.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading cloud-native services in AWS or GCP.
• Strong mentoring and cross-team leadership.
• Ability to align technical work with product and design partners.
• Deep experience with backend and frontend systems in Java/TypeScript.
• Ownership of product ideas from inception through production.
• Understanding of frontend and backend best practices.
• Experience integrating AI into products or engineering infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, maintenance and development of serving cloud-native data ingest and aggregation processes.
• Drive feature delivery across our product suite to detect activities like market manipulation and fraud.
• Own and scale high‑performance AWS services handling thousands of requests per second.
• Lead modernization towards a streaming architecture with solid technical direction.
• Own the graphing platform used across products to visualize insights and data.
• Debug and resolve production issues across systems, guiding the team through challenges.
• Mentor and grow engineers, fostering technical excellence and collaboration.
