Job summary

Novonesis invites a (Senior) Data Engineer to join the Digital Enablement Team within Product & Process Development. You will work hands-on with Python, SQL, APIs, Benchling and Databricks to create scalable data pipelines that empower scientists and digital colleagues.

You will lead by example on architecture, data quality, testing and deployment, while partnering with researchers to translate needs into reusable data solutions across PPD.

Qualifications

• MSc degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Bioinformatics, or related discipline or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong experience designing, building, and maintaining production-grade data pipelines and integrations.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with APIs, data modeling, version control, automated testing, and modern software engineering practices.
• Experience collaborating with scientists, engineers, or domain experts to develop data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement robust data pipelines and reusable components across Benchling and Databricks.
• Partner with scientists and digital teams to translate needs into reliable data solutions.
• Provide architecture guidance on APIs, data quality, testing, deployment, and lifecycle management.
