Job summary

ZeroNorth is building an industry-leading agentic platform for maritime operations, seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join the Data for Sensing team. You will own data ingestion, processing, and the creation of data products for internal product teams, focusing on data quality, provenance, and scalable pipelines.

Qualifications

5+ years delivering production data systems.
Strong intuition for performance, scalability, and cost trade-offs.
Degree in computer science or equivalent depth.
Maritime knowledge, model training, geospatial experience (nice to have).

Responsibilities

Data modelling with rigorous entity and relational modelling.
Batch and streaming pipelines with orchestration and backfills.
High-performance API design with provenance and freshness.
Applied mathematics and analysis to weather and sensor data.
Provider sourcing and evaluation for data quality and cost.
Customer collaboration with product teams on scope and sequencing.
Advancement of agentic tooling, with documentation and tooling for humans and agents.
