Job summary

Maersk in Copenhagen is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable data products, pipelines, and analytical foundations that power business insights and AI-enabled decision making across the enterprise.

You will collaborate across data engineering, analytics enablement, visualization, and AI/ML teams to deliver reliable data pipelines, governed datasets, and self-service analytics with strong data contracts and governance.

Qualifications

• MS or BS in Computer Science or engineering.
• 6+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or data platform delivery.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and PySpark.
• Experience designing and operating ETL/ELT pipelines, orchestration workflows, and data products.
• Experience with cloud data platforms, distributed processing, and analytics/BI consumption patterns.
• Exposure to AI/ML engineering practices, feature pipelines, model productionization, or agentic AI patterns.
• Familiarity with DevOps/DataOps, including CI/CD, monitoring, observability, and incident support.

Responsibilities

• Data Engineering, Pipelines & Orchestration: design, build, and optimize scalable batch and streaming data pipelines.
• SQL, Data Modelling & Analytics: create well-modelled datasets for reporting and AI/ML use cases.
• Visualization, BI & Data Product Delivery: deliver datasets and dashboards with clear data contracts.
• AI/ML Engineering Enablement: build feature-ready datasets and productionize models with monitoring.
• Cross-Functional Delivery & Architecture: translate requirements into data models and plans.
• Operational Excellence: ensure reliability, security, and scalability of data platforms.
