Job summary

GlobalConnect is expanding data center capacity across the Nordics and Northern Europe. We seek a Data Center Designer based in Taastrup to own the technical design across large projects and guide handover to operations.

Qualifications

• Hands on experience with data center infrastructure or other mission‑critical environments.
• Strong understanding of cooling systems and power infrastructure in mission‑critical environments.
• Proven hands‑on experience with alarm and monitoring systems, including system architecture and integration with critical infrastructure such as power, cooling, and security
• Ability to interpret, review, and challenge engineering drawings, technical documentation, specifications, supplier designs, and system architecture choices
• Fluent English. Danish or another Nordic language is an advantage

Responsibilities

• Act as technical authority within large data center projects, from early concept through commissioning, acceptance, and handover
• Own and challenge system‑level design decisions across power, cooling, controls, alarm and monitoring systems, security, and building interfaces
• Review layouts, airflow concepts, cooling capacity assumptions, power distribution principles, single‑line diagrams, and supplier designs
• Develop and review technical requirements, specifications, scopes of supply, risk assessments, and design documentation
• Support FATs, site inspections, commissioning activities, acceptance testing, and operational handover
• Strengthen standardisation, repeatable technical solutions, and design quality across projects and countries
